Nordic Culture Fund helps with new project
The Nordic & The Nordic Culture Fund has given us the possibility and ressources to establish this new Nordic Project called
Stories from the North.
Together with 3 other Nordic countries and partners the vision is to use digital storytelling as a method to gather stories around the Nordic cities and share them online and also at different events in the various countries.

“Branding is no longer about the stuff that you make, but about the stories you tell. Thevision of our project ´Stories from the North` is to let people create, share & tell life stories through Nordic Storytelling Labs and an online digital storytelling platform.
Our goal is to create a Nordic Digital Storytelling Platform for authentic personal stories told by young and old people from Denmark, Norway, Iceland & The Faroe Island.
The project is called Stories from the North and has a mission to gather and preserve authentic stories of human life told and made by people from the Nordic Countries.
We make a difference by creating open Nordic Storytelling Labs in each country where young people are invited to join a workshop. The stories being produced by each participants will be shared on a digital storytelling platform which will open up for a conversation and start a dialogue around the stories being shared.
This new strategic storytelling platform will host digital stories from both the cities and also the outskirts and countryside of each country. By letting people share their stories about different subjects such as identity, culture, food, traditions, love, and favourite places it can tell a common Nordic story.
You should back up our project because here we will create a space where all the autenticNordics voices will be heard and shared. We will let people tell their own life story on a 2-3 days workshops where they create a 2-3 minutes small digital story.”
New stories
There are now new stories from young people in Denmark, Norway and Iceland. They are produced by the young people on a digital storytelling workshop and is now shared so everyone can hear and learn from the great stories.

Workshops in Digital Storytelling
The workshops has been held in Norway, Iceland and Denmark where lots of stories and experience has been shared and learned. The stories made can be seen under the Stories section and here you can also hear the story behind the stories, and see some interviews with participants from Iceland.
